New Year's Eve

We had some friends visit for New Year's Eve and the kids were super excited. They couldn't wait for their friends Cana and Macey to come. Emma was really looking forward to doing another slumber party with Cana. All four kids play so great together...and when I say play great I really mean it. There are never any conflicts between them. (Now there might be conflicts between sisters.) We also had some other friends join us for dinner and after the kids ate they all wanted to be rock stars and play rock band. We had kids playing the guitar, drumming and singing. It was quite a sight. After all the rocking out it was bedtime. The little girls went to bed pretty easily...now the big kids on the other hand didn't fall asleep until around 11. Periodically we would check on them and they were playing and sometimes they would check in on us. One time they came downstairs because they thought they heard an owl...but it was really Mark singing while playing rock band. It was a fun evening and eventually everyone was asleep. We talked on how we should make this a tradition and next year we would go to their house.
